William S. Love was born in Clover Township, Jefferson County, PA, on March 15, 1838, and was a resident of Jefferson County for his entire
lifetime. He married Clementine Furman on December 25, 1866. Clementine Furman Love was born in Strattanville, Clarion County in 1838. They had a family of eight children, three of
whom died of diphtheria in 1878. The surviving children were: Mrs. J. L. Park, of Howe; A. E. Love of Vandergrift Heights; Frank E. Love, of Brookville; Mary Love, of Brookville; and W. B.
Love, of Brockway, PA. They resided first in Knox Township, later moving to Rose Township, and finally to their home in the Longview section of Brookville. Mr. Love died at his home on
November 3, 1906, and was buried in Brookville Cemetery. His wife died in Brookville on November 25, 1907 and is buried with her husband in the Brookville Cemetery, Brookville, PA.
