Andrew Eugene Mottorn, Jr., was born
December 8, 1852, in Geisttown, now known as Worthville, Jefferson County, PA, the son of Henry J. Mottorn and Lydia Coble. He married Sarah Amanda (Horton) Brunner, July 4, 1886, in
Salamanca, NY. The daughter of Squire Henry Haskell Horton and Judy Minerva Yeomans, she was born in September 1865, at Clarington, Forest County, PA. Their children were
Margaret Belle (Mottorn) Anderson, Andrew Eugene Mottorn, Jr., and Lydia (Mottorn) Reitz. Andrew Eugene Mottorn was a mail carrier, and during one of his trips was in a snowstorm. He
developed a respiratory infection, and died of pneumonia in January 1893. He is buried in Temple Cemetery, Warsaw Township, Jefferson County. His wife died May 8, 1941, following a fractured
hip, and is buried beside him.
