Orlando Brown was born at Swanton, Vermont, on October 27, 1800, the son of James Brown. He came to Brookville in 1857, and operated a machinist shop. In 1823, he was married in Rushville, NY, to Miss Meribah Loomis. After her death in 1873, he remarried to Mrs. Edatha Loomis. Orlando is buried in the Brookville Cemetery..
