Miller Harding was born in Exeter, in Luzerne Co., PA, on February 7, 1824. His parents moved to New York State when he was 12 years old so that his father could follow the lumbering trade.
In 1845, his parents and all their children moved to Jefferson County.
Mr. Harding married Miss Henrietta Howe, also of Jefferson County, and they became parents
of three sons and two daughters.
He was a farmer, also continued in the lumbering business, and operated a stage line in
Jefferson County.
Miller Harding died December 3, 1892, at Brookville, PA. He and his wife are buried in Mt.
Pleasant Cemetery in Knoxdale, Jefferson County, PA.
