 George Blose was born in Northampton Co., PA, on September 13, 1778. He was the son of Daniel and Elizabeth Blose, orginally spelled Bloss, a German immigrant who came to Northampton Co.,
with his parents. About 1780 Daniel Blose moved his family to Westmorland Co., living near Greensburg with the Boaz Walton family.
George married Sarah Walton, and they had a family of ten children, several of
whom died young. He and Sarah came to Perrysville about 1831, where they spent the rest of their married life on the farm that they had established.
George died on the family farm on August 31, 1849, and was buried in the White
Church Cemetery, at Hamilton, PA. His wife, Sarah was born in Northampton Co., PA, on January 3rd, 1779, died in Jefferson Co., on July 10, 1860, and was buried beside her husband.
