Peter Snyder Hetrick was born 18 December 1827 in Northumberland Co. PA, the son of John Hetrick and wife Catherine Snyder.
About 1852, he married Susanna Lingenfelter born 5 July 1838, the daughter of John Lingenfelter and his wife Catherine Mauk. Peter died in 1915 and his wife died 6 May 1911.
The couple were the parents of thirteen known children: Anna L. born about 1854, Florence Catherine (Kate) born about 1857,

born about 1875, Olden H. (Ollie) born 1878, Christina (Crissie) born 1881, and John (Jake) born 1883.
